  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil and 1 tablespoon of ghee in a pressure cooker.
  2. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon, bay leaf, cloves and green cardamom.
  3. Sauté till the seeds splutter and the spices turn aromatic.
  4. Add slit green chilli and curry leaves. Stir and sauté till the curry leaves turn crispy.
  5. Add sliced onion and salt to taste. Sauté till the onions turn translucent.
  6. Add ginger garlic paste. Sauté on low flame for 2-3 minutes till the raw smell disappears.
  7. Add chopped tomato. Sauté till the tomatoes turn soft and mushy.
  8. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix well.
  9. Cook for 2 minutes on low flame till the oil separates from the masala.
  10. Add chopped beans, carrot, potato, cauliflower florets and green peas. Give it a mix.
  11. Add 1 ½ cups of water. Stir and mix well.
  12. Cover with a lid and cook for 6-7 minutes on medium flame.
  13. Take grated coconut in a blender along with fennel seeds, poppy seeds and cashew nuts. Blend coarsely.
  14. Add water as required. Blend to a smooth paste.
  15. Add the ground paste to the pressure cooker. Give it a mix.
  16. Add luke warm milk and 1 teaspoon of sugar (optional). Mix well.
  17. Cover and pressure cook for 3 whistles.
  18. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
